Multimedia Upgrade Guides
Use these guides to plan CarPlay, Android Auto, Android screen, audio, camera and vehicle-integration upgrades. Before ordering, confirm the vehicle year, model, original multimedia system, screen configuration, connectors and factory functions that must remain operational.
- Wireless CarPlay Retrofit — Review OEM controls, audio routing, microphone operation and connection stability.
- Android Auto Retrofit — Check compatibility, audio routing, camera integration and CANBUS communication.
- CANBUS Multimedia Integration — Understand how multimedia upgrades communicate with factory vehicle systems.
- Car Audio & DSP Upgrades — Review sound quality, amplifier matching, DSP configuration and tuning.
- 360 Camera Retrofit — Check camera placement, calibration, parking functions and system integration.
- Factory Controls After Screen Upgrade — Verify knobs, buttons, steering controls and CANBUS profiles after installation.
- Screen Fitment & Dashboard Trim — Check display dimensions, mounting, dashboard gaps, clips and OEM-style finish.
- Multimedia Installation Evidence — Document wiring, camera, audio and installation quality for support and warranty review.
Compatibility, CANBUS and Factory Controls
Multimedia compatibility can depend on the original head unit, display resolution, audio system, CANBUS profile, factory amplifier, reverse or 360 camera, steering-wheel controls and vehicle-market specification. CarPlay and Android Auto upgrades should preserve the factory functions required by the vehicle whenever the selected hardware supports them.
After an Android screen or multimedia retrofit, verify touch and display operation, steering-wheel controls, factory knobs and buttons, audio routing, microphone quality, reverse-camera switching and CANBUS information. Coding or configuration may be required on some vehicles.
Installation, Testing and Warranty Evidence
Before final assembly, check screen fitment, dashboard trim alignment, wiring and connector security. Test CarPlay, Android Auto, audio, cameras and factory controls before reinstalling all trim panels. Keep installation photos, wiring evidence and diagnostic information where relevant because these records can assist technical support and warranty review.
